MCEWAN, Alexander James, (Alex). 26/11/1949 - 4/7/2023. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Alex, who peacefully passed away on Tuesday 4th July. Dearly loved dad of Wayne, father-in-law of Caroline. Best mate of Eric and Lindsay. 
An extended thank you to all of Alex’s friends and fishing buddies. Known affectionately as Cuz to most, and slim to a few. 
        “His wheels were never cold” but whenever he stopped he appreciated a hot kettle.
A service to celebrate Alex’s life will be held on Monday 10th July in the Southland Crematorium at 1pm. McEwan Alexander,
Passed away at home on Tuesday 4th of July. Known to many as Alec or Cuz. 
Alec was strong-willed and stubborn at times but he also had an enormous heart and a witty sense of humor.  His passion was for all things Cod, his fish runs, and his long-standing loyal customers from Invercargill and beyond.
Alec will be remembered fondly by both Eric and Dawn.
