Dear Murray & family, It is with deep sadness that we read of Kay’s passing and we send you our deepest condolences. I first met Kay in 1955 at the beginning of July when we moved in next door at Whenuapai. Her birthday was the 5th July and mine was the 8th. Johnny invited me to her birthday celebrations. A strong friendship of 68 years followed. She had a wonderful gift in ceramics and art some of which take pride of place in our home. Thinking of you with much love, Lyn and Warren Edmeades xx

On behalf of the Mid Canterbury (Ashburton District) Connector community transport service, we would like to pass on our condolences to Kay's family and friends. As our District doesn't have public transport, we set up the Connector to enable people living in the rural areas of the District to get into Ashburton Township for shopping, medical appointments, etc. Kay was one of our first customers and became a regular. She loved getting out and about on the Connector. A lovely lady who will be very missed.
