After a courageous battle Dad passed surrounded by loving whanau.Son of Sonny Hemi Iwingaro Wharehinga (deceased) and Hana Aileen Wharehinga (nee Haimona) (deceased). Brother to Audrey Waiora Wharehinga, Lucy Harakiterangi Wharehinga, Kereopa Wharehinga, Miriama de Thierry (deceased), Sonny James Wharehinga and Johnson Wharehinga. Life Partner to Tuturu Te Ora Kara. Father of Anthony & Claudia, Andrea & Nooroa ,Te Kipihana  & Ora, Waimarié & Tevita, Kereopa, Hemi-Hone & Kacey, Iwi & Wynona and Ngaro & Marcia.Koro to Rain, Sonny, Tyson, Sapphire, Geoffrey, Amaia-Lee, Armani, Uncle and Koro to many more.

Dad will be laying at Kearoa Marae, Horohoro as of midday Wednesday 12 July 2023. Nehu Thursday 13 July at 11am.
