We knew Roy for over 20 years. I would describe him as a fun loving person who loved his family very much. He would be there to help his friends. He had a heart of gold under that tough exterior. Roy, you will be surely missed by everyone that has ever known you. RIP my friend. Rebecca and David

Roy you treated me just like one of your daughters took me along to Ninja taught me a few good moves told Chaz and I to stay away from the boys lol. I’m still in disbelief You will be greatly missed. Lots of love Jody & Family xxx

Roy, Have not seen you or talked to you as much as we used to since you made the move across Australia and the Tasman Sea to NZ, that doesn’t make hearing the news of your passing any easier to swallow. A shit stirring, funny and out there character who loved his Wife, his Daughters, his Son in Laws, his Grand Children and his mates fiercely, that is the guy I will remember you as. I’m privileged to have known you and spend a fair bit of time with you and Yvonne in my younger years and I will cherish those years until one day we meet again (that’s if they haven’t kicked you out of heaven by the time I get there for causing too much trouble). Rest easy mate, I am sure you will be looking down on your family and protecting them as you did throughout your life. My Sincere Love and Condolences to Yvonne, Charmaine, Tammy, Marc, Riki and to Roystons 5 Grand Children. He loved you all unconditionally, I have no doubt he will always be with you and everyone he ever knew deep within your hearts and memories. Rest In Peace Mate, gone but never forgotten, cheers to Roy 🍻🍺
