A courageous and empathetic man. A great friend . .Will be missed.

Will miss Roy's latest discoveries about medical science with himself as the guinea pig. He was always animated and enthusiastic about life, travel and his family. A fun, adventurous, free-spirited, interesting and dear man. Love to all of his family and friends who grieve him, as I do.

Since my late husband, Ian, and I moved to Tauranga we have always enjoyed Roy's visits. Every time he came to Tauranga to visit his orchard we looked forward to his company. He kept us up to date with family news and injected a real burst of humour to our time with him. We will all miss his visits very much.

I have many many happy memories of spending time with Uncle Roy as a child, and as an adult, both I and my husband John appreciated his conversation and sense of humour. Will be missed very much by our family. RIP, Sharon, John and family. xx
