Diana helped my family through a very difficult time and helped my teenage children deal with the possibility of inheriting Huntingtons Disease, a devastation diagnosis. We will always be grateful for her care and compassion. Sara Wilkinson

Diana was a ray of sunshine in many lives in the MidSouth HD community, among so many individuals and families struggling with the disease. Her caring, compassion, and commitment as a genetic counselor was treasured by patients, physicians, lay leaders and others who depended on her wise counsel and encouragement. Diana was a professional inspiration and also a personal friend to me and I was very sad to learn of her recent passing.

Diana was among the first Baha'is when I moved to Memphis, TN 34 years ago. The photo that I uploaded is of the 2010 Local Spiritual Assembly in Memphis, TN. Three immigrants, Diana, Guyent (Right side and standing) from Ethiopia and Sahar (sitting, center) from Egypt were immigrants on that LSA along with a diversity of US citizens. Serving on that LSA was like eating the best gumbo in New Orleans. Diana added her NZ accent and worldwide Baha'i perspective to the pot, so to speak. Me (sitting, left and a descendant of the enslaved) and the other members added our unique life experiences and perspectives to the pot as well. We all thrived on that LSA but I think Diana did in particular. She loved our community and our community loves Diana. She was loving and generous to our community while here and it did not change after she moved back to New Zealand. I feel so fortunate to have served with Diana and to be her friend. We talked or emailed occasionally after she begin to suffer from dementia. I found that her love for Memphis and Memphis love for her became more authentic after she began suffer from dementia. She helped our community financially to meet the challenges of the pandemic. We became a stronger community thanks to the vision and support of Diana. I will miss Diana very much.

If my memory serves me correctly, we shared time together in Tom Price's choral group from around the world touring Europe giving concerts to raise money for UNESCO in the mid 1990s. May the Concourse greet you with open arms.

Dear Diane with fond memories from Alison Panckhurst

Loving condolences to Diana's brothers, nieces and nephews on the passing of your (and our) beloved Diana, a beautiful soul whose radiance shone upon all who encountered her, in the same way that her much loved mother, Nancy, was also a gem in the Baha'i community of Aotearoa in years gone by. We offer our prayers for the progress of Nancy's illustrious soul in higher realms, and for the consolation of your hearts at this time when you are grieving her loss from your midst.
