Passed away very peacefully on 15 July 2023 at 1600 hours, aged 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Doris, cherished father of Dianne and Murray, and much loved poppa of Grace. A real character who lived an amazing long life, he has set sail on his last voyage. Mum and Dad reunited. Forever in our hearts. Special thanks to the staff of Auckland Hospital who cared for Athol over the last 10 days. Athol was farewelled this week with a private cremation. A celebration of Athol's life will be held later in August with details to follow.
