Born 13 November 1927, passed away peacefully at Waitakere hospital with family at his side on 13 July 2023. He leaves behind Irene his heartbroken wife of 72 years. Loved and respected father and father in law of Bruce (deceased), John and Lynette, Allan and Mary, and Heather and Ross (Thurlow). Treasured grandpa to 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. George was a life member of the Lyndale Harrier club and will be missed by many.

George has run his last race. 

A celebration of George's life will be held at the North Harbour of Dils Funeral Service, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Wednesday 19 July at 10.30 am.
