I am sorry to hear of Syd's passing. I worked for Syd as a land girl in the early 70's and he was a very hard task master. We were embraced as part of the family and enjoyed many good times with Syd, Ellen and the boys. We came to blows a bit but we had a lot of fun too. Rest in Peace Syd. You were my favorite boss.

We will always remember dear Poppy Phipps as a man who dearly loved his children and grandchildren, and a man with a keen sense of humour and a zest for life. He was always very welcoming. We remember visiting him on the dairy farm when we were holidaying in NZ. At the time he didn't know us, but upon arrival, he had tea and biscuits waiting for us, and later, an enjoyable tour of the milk sheds. Memories like that are priceless.

Remember Syd with Brian and Chris, Josh and Em, visiting us on the farm one year. We all had fun dancing at Jondaryan Woolshed. He was very kind when Em and our Rachel visited him for a holiday just a few short years ago. from Gayle, Geoff, Melody, Rachel
