Passed away peacefully on 25 July 2023 after a short illness at home surrounded by family aged 87 Years. Beloved wife of John (Janek) of 67 years. Mother and Mother inlaw to Ellen and Anthony, Steven and Anne, Gregory and Leigh, Alexander, Karen and Aaron, Lawrence and Nikki. Grandma to Jayde, Jasmine, the late Finlay, Jordan and Courtney, Yolanda and Billey, Bradley, Aleesha and Jason, Joshua, Samantha and Lily. Great Grandma to Benka, Riley and Rakera. A celebration of Valerie's life will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 24 Picton Street, Howick, on Tuesday 1 August at 11am. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Forest and Bird New Zealand who are celebrating 100 years this year would be appreciated.
