Oh Jennie - our class of '65 will certainly miss you. You have been an amazing friend to all of us , and were instrumental in keeping us all in contact. I certainly appreciated coming "home" and being able to catch up with everyone for a lunch or morning tea. Rest in peace now my friend. I will certainly miss our on line chats. Love, Sooty.

I first met Jennie in 1965 when as sixteen-year-olds we commenced our nursing training at Whangarei Hospital. It has been a wonderful friendship which has spanned sixty years and has created so many wonderful memories for me. She has always been such a kind, loyal and loving friend and I have spent many happy hours enjoying her company both in person and on the phone. Jennie is the amazing lady that has kept our nursing class of 1965 in close contact and up to date with news and planned events, sending out her regular informative, chatty and always amusing emails and arranging our social times together. She was such a great person at organising, always willing, happy to help and with such a delightful sense of humour. Jennie accomplished so many good things in her life. She was such an inspiration, working hard and giving generously of her time. Jennie faced her health issues with dignity, great courage and incredible strength. I will miss her so much and I know that she will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
To Jenny’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Also the class of 65 will really miss Jenny as she has been the one to keep us all in contact.. Rest peacefully Jenny. Lorraine Way

Saddened to learn of Jennie's passing. Thinking of her family with love and deepest sympathy. Our families were friends and Jennie and I were friends in the same class at Lower Moutere School and we met again at Motueka High School. It has been so nice to catch up with her again through Facebook in recent years. May she rest in peace.
Jenny was a close friend of Carol and I. Many years have passed and our friendship was based on our membership of the Whangarei RSA Bowling Club. Jenny was President for over 10 years, supported by her wonderful husband Terry, and our friendship extended beyond the sport of outdoor bowls. Jenny was a magnificent organiser/administrator and we went through difficult times when we had to wind the Club up. A strong lady. We will miss you Jenny........
So sorry I can't be there to say goodbye Jen but I have lovely memories of our special friendship. Will miss you so much.Lots of love to your family.Love,Ali
