Regina Sophia Catharina Baptist (nee Van Mil)

29 January 19336 August 2023

Born January 29, 1933. Passed away on August 6, 2023, aged 90. Passed peacefully, surrounded in love and wonderful care from the staff at Meadowbank Village. Much loved wife of the late Gerardus, and dearest mother of Gerald, Ron, Veronica and Angela. Treasured Oma and Great Oma. Revered Mrs B! Mum, Oma, Mrs B you cared for and lit up the lives of so many, young and old. You will live on in more hearts than you would believe. You were determined to give us a better life, through education, experiences, travel, music, books... Your generosity with your time was unsurpassed. Your guidance always wise. Your humour unforgettable. It's your time to rest, knowing you truly did the best you could and made the world a better place. It's time to dance and sing in heaven with Pappa, to Veronica's playful tunes. Funeral, 10am Monday 14th August at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Howick. In lieu of flowers a donation to Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated. Messages can be left in Regina's Tribute book at www.davisfunerals.co.nz

So sad to hear of Regienas passing. I've known Regiena since we were 18 years old. We were nursing together and kept our friendship over the years and miles. We have spent many memorable times together with our families. You will be sadly missed old friend. Love Maria

Dearest Oma Regina, We celebrate and rejoice your remarkable life. What an exceptional individual you are, a better angel among us! Your incredible kindness towards others leaves us in awe. Your resilience and fortitude in facing life’s challenges serve as an inspiration to us all. Your delightful sense of humour never fails to bring smiles! Oma to the rescue.. Oma to the rescue, again!.. Now, a grand finale befitting a classy lady. Though we miss you greatly, we find solace in knowing you are in a better place, at peace, finally resting. The values you have embodied and the lessons you have imparted will forever guide us. Fare thee well, au revoir and Pura Vida! How fortunate we are to have crossed paths and connected with you.
