Most heartfelt sympathy to all the McGinn family on the loss of Baz. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
What an honour it has been for us to share a small part of Baz’s life and be regarded by him as friends. If you needed a guide to living life to the fullest, Baz was the best teacher on the planet. He provided joy to all those around him and will probably continue doing so in our memories forever. All our love to you, too, Georgie as you navigate on without that special “darling” man. xxxxxxxx Ron Stratford and Marion Chitty

Baz you were a hard case, party boy. Our guardian looking after us from the back of the pack on our grand Portugal coast bike tour. What a ride that was. We had some laughs, ate a lot of seafood whenever we could on that trip. Thanks too for teaching us the phrase “I’m touching cotton” that and so many other funny things you said remind us of you very often. It was a pleasure to know you and your love for Georgie and zest for life will be missed more than you could have ever known. Lots of love to your children and extended whanau and especially to Georgie xxx Kia kaha whanau
Dearest Bazzie You inspire in the way you look at objects, or an event, or a moment in time and without thinking too much you apply your Bazrazzmatazz to it and instantly it’s more memorable, works better, exudes more joy and causes more fun! I will try to apply the same meaning to all I do so that your memory lives on! Thank you for being a safe space I could always rely on, I only wish my kids got to enjoy your energy as much as I did! Much love to all the newton and mcginn families and all who knew Baz, because to know him was to love him! You’ll be missed!!

Uncle Baz, the most amazing of men. Generous, loving, funny, happy! Your confidence as you enter a room makes anyone who meets you instantly like you. You just had a way. Dear Baz, you will be missed my dear friend. We only got to see each other once a year, but you made my visits to NZ so warm and friendly. I have met a lot of people over my travels and years and by far you were the nicest, kindest and funniest. You had a way of making everyone feel at home and warm and fuzzy in your presence. Will not be the same without you my dear soul! Love from Canada. I hope your new adventure brings you more laughs. Your friend Molly.
