Passed away peacefully at Aria Park rest home on the 7th of August 2023 aged 92. Bea battled chronic pain associated with scoliosis and arthritis most of her adult life followed by severe dementia for the last 12 years with strength, humour, courage and grace. Bea was a dearly loved and treasured wife of the late Dr Ernst Wilzek, mother to Joana (and her twin, Lucy, who passed away at birth), mother-in-law to Erich, Nana to Anton and Nathan. She will be sadly missed by all her friends and extended family both in New Zealand and Ghana, West Africa. The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff and residents of Aria Park for all the wonderful care and support to both Bea and Joana over the past 11 years. A service to celebrate Bea's life will be held on Tuesday 15th of August 1.00pm, at St David's In The Fields Presbyterian Church, 202 Hillsborough Road, Hillsborough, followed by a burial at Mangere Lawn Cemetery.
