Tributes

We met Margaret on a trip to Ruakaka because we have a longstanding friendship with her sister Angela, who lives in Truro. We are lucky enough to have a property in Kaiapoi, as well as living in Devon. Margaret was an accomplished yachtswoman, with many accolades and trophies. Our family are also experienced sailors, so we made an instant rapport with Margaret. We were particularly impressed with her environmental interests and concerns. Over the years, we developed a postal correspondence - not many communicate by letter nowadays and Margaret appreciated our regular telephone and letter contact. She was a lovely, decent person with great life-experience and she will be much missed as one of our closest friends. Nick and Vidas
