Funeral service held at Maunu Crematorium Chapel
Although Colin lived on the other side of the world I had the pleasure of spending time with him when he visited the UK. He was genuinely a wonderful and gentle man. His devotion to his late wife Betty was a joy to see and together they spread laughter and love across their family. In the times between Colin’s Uk visits and then in his later years his influence and presence in his extended family was felt through stories, memories and tales told of his life and I loved to hear stories of his time at sea. Hearing about Colin being ‘big brother’ to Damian when he was young, taking him camping , trekking and all things outdoors were always lovely to hear and very moving. Colin was very much loved by all his family and he will be sadly missed.
