DRYSDALE, Melissa – Known affectionately as Missy.


Passed away at home on the 11th of September 2023.


Treasured mama of Charis, Avaani and Iquita.
Beloved youngest daughter of Bruce and Jennifer.
Dearly loved sister of Aaron and Amanda.
Cherished aunt of Isaac, Samantha, Neeve, Caitlin and Liana.
And a true friend to many.

A private cremation has taken place according to Melissa’s wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Osbornes Funeral Directors Chapel, 197 Old Taupo Road, Rotorua, on Monday 25th of September at 1.30pm. Please wear colourful clothes.


In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Hospice Trust. A donation box and Tap N Go machine will both be available on Monday.

this isn’t the message i thought i would be sending but i wanted to talk about how much i love aunty missy & how much she impacted my life. thank you for not only being an amazing aunt but an amazing mom, daughter, sibling & friend to everyone. you are truly one of the most amazing women i have ever met & you never deserved this. i am so proud of you for fighting like hell through all this. you are the women i aspire to be when i get older, you are so confident & independent. i will always love aunty missy & i look forward to the day we can meet again. you will always be in my heart.

Aunty missy was one of the most inspirational women I’ve had to pleasure of knowing. She always knew how to brighten up a room and put a smile on people’s faces. She had the most beautiful personality and heart. I love and miss you everyday aunty missy xx
