After a short illness, Doreen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday 24 September 2023, aged 80 years.
Much loved wife of the late Lawrie.
Cherished Mumsie to Lee-Anne, Karen and Jason, Donna and Matt, Alan and Jody.
Treasured Nana to 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at the Tomarata Hall, 704 Mangawhai Road, Te Arai, on Friday 29 September 2023 at 11am, followed by interment at Te Arai Cemetery, 326 Cemetery Road, Te Arai.
Hospice have been caring and supportive to Doreen and her family, they have asked in lieu of flowers if a donation to Hospice could be given instead please. Just click on the Hospice link below to make a donation.

Such a tribute to you Doreen that your Family and Friends gave you a wonderful "Send Off" You truly lived a "Full" Life that many only dream about. Thank you especially for the best friend a gal could have in Donna. May you be dancing with Laurie and winning at Bowls!! But most importantly looking down on your loved ones with a smile 🌸
I have known Doreen for just a few short years, our connection was centered around sewing and her sock making. Recently we were in a thread painting class together, Doreen completed her beautiful Fantail. I will miss seeing you in the shop, I still have your wonderful socks to remind me how talented you were. Rest in Peace Doreen
