A great man who was playing a huge part in the life’s of so many people which are now great chefs.
Almost 20 years ago i started an apprenticeship at sky city, from Day 1 Chef Peter was a true mentor for not only myself but all the apprentices. He trained us, taught us, lead us through the journey and beyond. he was never afraid to call a spade a spade. i can still hear him screaming my name across the kitchen. He was heavily involved in competitions and spent many an hour showing me all the skills and techniques, judging and training me for mine. Always kind and will never be forgotten. Thank you Chef for everything you have done. Vale
Thank you for being a gentleman chef in every way. A well respected mentor and trainer of apprentices who could always look to you for support just as I did. Rest in peace now and watch out for your many protégées from above 😘🙏
Peter is like a bow, playing a violin; owing to the fact that the bow if instructed by the "master" will produce notes of happiness, joy and laughter. It (the bow) can produce sadness depending on how the violinist is instructed to play. Peter, had all those qualities, he knew, what was required from the "recipes" and from the outcome created memorable moments for all to enjoy. Peter thank you for the guidance not only for the apprentices and students that past through your "hands", but for my own journey. May your new kitchen in heaven be a time of joy and relaxation. Be the master you are and continue to play music that makes you that very special chef.
A great man who will be missed by many...
