Peacefully in the presence of family at the Palmerston North Hospital on Tuesday 3 October 2023, aged 82 years. Much Loved husband of Raewyn. Loved father of Darrin and Vicki, Sheldon and Nicola, Kristen and Krissy. Loved Grandad of Alannah and Stu, Laura and James, Sophie, Fraser and Sarah, Bodie (dec), Jade and Marley. Great-Grandad of Ollie and Ryleigh. A service to celebrate the life of Richard will be held in William Cotton & Sons Funeral Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding, on Saturday 7 October 2023 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. Tributes
Richard was a long serving Economic Service client who gave generously of his time and farming knowledge from around 1970 to 2006 on my watch with beef and lamb NZ. I came to regard him as a friend and looked forward to the times he popped into the office for a cup of tea.
