Tributes

To all the Doyle Whanau, Thank you for sharing the service for Lee with all of us who weren't able to be together with you at this time. Peter you gave a beautiful eulogy for your sister and I couldn't agree more with everything you shared. I can't remember a time I did not know Lee and 12 Murray Ave, Hawera, will always be "The Doyles." Memories of John and Judy and all of you. Me and my boys stayed with her in Nairn Street and at Waikanae Beach whenever we were 'passing through' simply because it was Lee, my neighbour, my beautiful friend, part of our extended family. We will always treasure the times we spent with her, sadly, times I thought we would have more of to share when I came home again. My love to you all. I will never forget Lee, rest easy tōku hoa....aroha atu, aroha mai...xox.

The Doyle family provides many memories from my childhood. From Church, the choir, Mr Doyle singing with my Mum and the beautiful voices of all the family. What a.wonderful story of Lee you shared today, she certainly has left her mark. Ka Aroha Hoki xxx

Sending lots of love from the Grubi/ Corbett Whanau. Lee was a gorgeous woman and I know she will be having a good cuppa with Mum and Judy now.

Our awhi and aroha to you all at this very sad time. We know you will hold each other close and celebrate Lee's life with the love and humour you are known for. We will be watching the livestream but know that our hearts are with you. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Arohanui Your Gisborne cousins xxx
