A lovely friend that will be missed. Hilda was a kind and caring person that brightened my days. We had a lot in common as we came from the same area. My thoughts are with Melanie & family. A beautiful service that did your mum, grandma & great grandma knitting proud.

Dear Auntie Hilda, We were so grateful to be able to see you last week with Melanie- what a wonderful grand daughter, she has always been there for you. Thinking of all the happy memories over the years. Mount Pleasant Chapel was very special for us both - Uncle Harry and yourself living in such a beautiful place- and then Nick and I having the same opportunity taking over as caretakers for over 3 years . I have treasured memories of my 3 visits to New Zealand . How lucky was I to spend such special times with you . Rest in peace now with all your dearly loved departed family now with you in heaven. Fondest love, Elizabeth , Nicholas and family xx Cheshire, UK.

To Aunty Hilda, Rest In Peace knowing that you touched so many people’s hearts, and although you have been so far away for many years living a fantastic life with your family, you were always in our thoughts and mum always let me know any news after your regular phone chats. So many memories, words alone cannot really express my thoughts and feelings. From family holidays together, family gatherings at my mum's, church services at Mount Pleasant(with lovely afternoon teas) to the last time I saw Auntie in Rotorua 2011, our regular phone chats since she emigrated. She will always be in our thoughts somewhere, so sorry I cannot be there.
