Where to begin..a very special friend to my late mother Alison Valentine(especially after dad died)and the loveliest lady to the Valentine children durings the 60's(residents of Egmont St)when we affectionately called her "Mrs Bacon!" To Heather, Fred & Ava's Family, We were very sorry to hear of Ava's passing. We have very fond memories of Hodder & Tolley days. (Front Office) Working with Ava was always a laugh a minute, and the jokes with her husband Colin. Natalie & Doug used to love visiting them at the weekends and playing with their dog Charlie. They were both an inspiration to us. Sorry we cannot attend the funeral. Sincere condolences from Jenny, Graham, Natalie, Doug & Family.

Aunty nana you were one of the most loving and bubbly people in the world. You always had a joke up your sleeve, loved our family and would always make people smile. I will miss you very much, love Tom

To my Aunty Ava. Complete shock and heartbreak to hear of your sudden passing. Like others, I will forever miss your giggle on the phone when we would chat. You and Uncle Colin can now sit together and laugh and hold hands. This brings me some comfort to know you are now reunited. I am so lucky that I have some of your crafted items. My very fancy sewing kit always draws gasps when I open it and all the sections neatly fall into place. And my couch blanket that folds into its own cushion. Genius. Thank you for always being so much fun. Mark, Myles, Archer and I have spent the last few days chatting about my memories with you. Love you always. Wendy

So sad to see this. Ava was a great friend to the Lister famiily and enjoyed many a laugh in her days at Hodder and Tolley with the crew there.

My darling Aunty Ava was the best godmother ever. Funny, cheeky, kind and just a little bit too keen on Andre Rieu. I will miss her cheeky giggle and wicked sense of humour, her love and her advice. But geez was I scared of putting anything out of place when I stayed with her!!! 🤣 She was such a wonderful crafter and like so many others, I am so lucky to have her handcrafted gifts to pass on to my daughter.I will love her and miss her forever.

Ava was one of my best croquet partners. We had so many laughs. Ava had a special seat in the clubrooms which will be hard to fill.

Deepest sympathy to Ava's family from her Thursday morning coffee group. There will be an empty chair now and we will miss her always.
