From the Phillips family who have known the Shackleton family through 3 generations. We’ve not been close, but that doesn’t mean we feel any less sorrow at this time. We remember Eric and wish to say farewell with much love.
Mr. Shackleton was one of the kindest, friendliest men I ever met. He always greeted everybody with a smile, and made them feel like they were important. Our hearts are heavy for your loss, we are praying that you would know the peace of God throughout this tough time.
The first thing I did when visiting Kaitaia was to head up to Shack’s and grab a couple of bottles of RED (sorry Monty). I now know why the first one Eric insisted was free. Although my visits were infrequent, living over the ditch, thank-you for the time you gave and those two sons that will always be considered my oldest of friends. That view and those hugs from Sandra were awesome too. Paul and Cathy Cameron
