WALLIS, Mary Catherine (nee Lamont) 

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her home.

Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Vincent, loved mother of Christopher, and Fiona, and mother in law of Helen, and Moray, dearly loved nana to Luke Wallis, and Ava, and Oscar Cooke, loved by the Lambert, Craddock, Mehrtens, Gough, Daniels, Jenkins, Millard, Wallis, Williams, Lamont, Crase, Douglas, Getley and Skilton Families, and also a loved sister, sister in law, aunt and friend to so many.

Special thanks to Mary’s care team, including Dr Richard Rax, and Marla and Miriam for your wonderful care of Mary.

A family vigil will be held for Mary in the family home, on Monday, October 23, at 7.00pm.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Saint Canice’s Catholic Church, Brougham Street, Westport, on Tuesday, October 24, at 1.30pm. After the service, Mary will be taken for afternoon tea before departing for a private cremation.

Thanks also to St John Ambulance, NZ Police, and the Westport Fire Brigade at the time of Mary’s passing.
