CHIVERS, John Raymond: Passed away peacefully in Nelson with family at his side on Wednesday October 18, 2023, aged 84 years. Devoted husband of Jackie, loved father and father-in-law of Joanna and Grant Clover (Wellington), Matthew and Trish (Wellington). Adored Grandad of Katherine and Aimee. A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Shone and Shirley Funeral Home, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson at 11am on Thursday 26 October followed by a private burial. I met John once a few years ago on a weekend trip to Nelson with Jo. What a lovely, refined and gentle man he was. An amazing man with a life well lived. A man so dearly loved by family and friends. Jo you are a dear friend, along with Grant and the girls - such a loving family. Lots of love to you all, cherish the happy memories now and forever.
