Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 1st November 2023 surrounded by his whanau. Son of Boy and the late Emily Yates, (nee Wright) A loving father and cherished papa to his many mokopuna. The whanau would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Kaitaia Hospital and the Kaitaia Hospice for all their care and support. Cheeky will by lying in state at  Piri Ki Te Paatu Marae, 7075 State Highway 1, Kaitaia until his funeral service on Saturday 4th November 2023, at 11am.
