Thank you, David for your friendship over many years. It has been a privilege to have known you. There were many ups and downs during the time that you and Rex worked together and the ups, you can take a lot of credit for. Sail safely and keep your foot on the Accelerator. Love and hugs to Odette and Family Gabrielle Syminton
David, our relationship was through work and I always found you to be friendly and great to work with, always smiling and capable. Odette, sorry for your loss.
David, I honestly could not have ever asked for a more wonderful Father in Law. What a treasure of a man you were. Always up for a beer and a chat, but equally happy to sit quietly reading a book and drinking cups of tea. An enduring memory is when you took me for a joyride across Tauranga harbour in the ski boat. I’m sure there was a speed limit but I think it may have been used as a suggestion. Thank you for everything. Naomi xx
Will be dearly missed. Nothing but good memories of Uncle David. Always put family first with a smile on his face, has been a great role model for myself. Rest in Peace Josh, Jo, Amber and Lawrence
You always had a smile and so much joy to share everytime we saw you. Distance did mean it was not as often but it was all the more special because of that. Thank you for welcoming Warwick into the family when we visited together, that meant a lot. Thank you for all the time we got to share together, it is precious. Goodbye Uncle David.
Dearest Uncle David, Thank you for making every trip to New Zealand so special. Your kindness and generosity meant so much. You were always so caring and nothing was ever a problem. Even on our last visit this August you found something in the cupboard to give to the kids which was so touching. You were always thinking of others. Rest in peace. Lots of love from Nadia, Liam and Lucy xx

Hey Bro, you were the best brother I could have wished for. Being a little brother can be hard as I found out when teachers at college expected me to be as scholastically accomplished as you!! Youngest at time to make 1st Fifteen (4th form), just all-round great sportsman and academic. I do remember however that you decided you must finish your degree after fellow students thought you were a tutor as you had been around a while!! You were always generous even if I did have to wait until you had finished surfing to be able to use your board, I am sure you came in early sometimes to let me have more time before dark. We shared that little bedroom many a year at Orkney Road, and I must say when you went off to Uni I felt I had lost something not gained a room for myself. Still, I made my way to Wellington in time and flatting together was fun, as was joining you in WCOB J4's rugby team. Unfortunately, my career and travels greatly reduced times we have had together in our later years, but we still managed to have time together and as always you were very generous in making sure we had some fun. David I will miss you forever, thank you for being the brother you were, the times we had growing up were priceless. A photo of happier times to celebrate your life where we are with two very important ladies.
