WALLACE, Jean Elizabeth (Betty):
Peacefully at Molly Ryan Rest Home on Tuesday, 7 November 2023 aged 90. Dearly loved wife of the late Ron. Loving Mum of Graham & Lyn, Janine & Allen, Anne & Graham and Sandra & Stephen. Loved grandmother of her 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Wednesday 15 November 2023 at 10:30am.

Dear Betty, you’re with your Ron now all your suffering and pain is over. You and Ron were wonderful neighbours to Kerryn and I when we lived there and a wonderful support to us both. I had only learnt of your passing when I was at the pipe band nationals. Rest In Peace and your name will be spoken. Condolences to your family. Love from us both
On behalf of the Batchelor family we would like to pass on our condolences to Betty’s family. I am sorry I missed the funeral notice in the paper. Betty was a great friend of my late mother-in-law, Colleen. I remember going on outings with Betty , her grandsons Jeremy and Daniel along with Colleen and my sons Chris and Scott. I am sorry to hear the news of Betty’s passing. She was always very welcoming and understanding when Ron was tutoring me. She was always so cheerful, happy and honest and I can't thank her enough. My condolences to the family.
Betty was always a delightful visitor to Canada. My Dad and her looked so similar that right away I knew she was family. I was so happy to get to see her again when I visited NZ and got to meet so many more of you. Her personality was as big as her heart. A cousin who will always be remembered with love and laughter. Betty you always meant so much to me, no matter where I roamed. It was always a joy when I returned home to come over for a cuppa and to relive old times. As you reunite with Ron on the other side may your joy be overflowing. Love you Betty!
