Tributes

Samin, ever since I met you in Year 11 you always managed to put a smile across my face every single day with your continuous supply of jokes. You were the true definition of happiness and talent and you always blew me away with your unending kindness. I am eternally grateful to have known you and I send my prayers and love towards your family. Rest in Peace Samin, your memory is engraved in all our hearts.

Krish

Samin’s ability to brighten the atmosphere around him was something I greatly admired since year 9. He was talented, intelligent, but above all, kind. I cannot emphasise his kindness enough; he would always include me in all the inside jokes and discussions in class, despite my reclusive personality. This is something I will be eternally grateful for. I send all my love and deepest condolences to his family. Rest peacefully, Samin. You will never be forgotten.

Daniel

Samin has been such a great friend since I met him in year 9. He was always there with a smile on his face and an arm around my shoulder, trying to cheer us all up with his countless facts about TV shows, and never ceasing to help people with anything. Lots of love to everyone who knew him, he won't be forgotten ❤️

Sam

Samin was one of my closest friends and the first friend I made at Westlake. When I was new to the orchestra and knew no one else, he was there for me and made sure I was never alone. I was fortunate to have him in many of my classes over the years and we went on many band camps together which are among my favorite memories at Westlake. I will never forget the early mornings at band camp when I had to get up early for a run and Samin would get up in the dark without me asking him to just to be there to support me. He was always so loyal and fun but also incredibly smart and wise. It was impossible to feel bad around him with his light-hearted nature and bright smile. I will miss him deeply but I am thankful for all the fun times we had together. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten.

Samin was one of the most joyful and funniest people I have ever known. He always brought a lovely atmosphere to interval and lunchtimes with his jokes and genuine positivity. An intelligent friend who posed as an inspiration for me. I can't exactly recall when he came into my life during high school, as I think his bubbly nature made me feel he had always been a friend. My deepest condolences to Samin and his family.

Leon

Samin was an incredibly friendly person and was always cheerful, he was also one of, if not the brightest students in our school and loved to help other people, he was destined to become someone that would contribute greatly to our society had his life not been cut short so tragically. I am shocked and greatly saddened by his sudden and unexpected death. I will never forget the times when we sat next to each other eating lunch and playing handball or card games together at school. He was a great friend and wonderful classmate. My condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

Shaun

There was no one quite like my man Samin. He was a very real and a very kind guy. Never knew anyone like him.

Shri

Samin was intelligent, musical and athletic, but most of all he was kind. I remember he would correct my bow hold, fix my posture and teach me violin all while doing it with a big smile and a unique sense of humour. Samin, in and out of orchestra gave me so many memories. I just regret not taking more photos and memories with him before he left us.

Johnny

I never actually met Samin but I would always see him around school. One thing he would have was a big smile on his face. We have lost a brilliant young man.
