FUNKE, Ruth Margaret (nee Cato):

Died peacefully, aged 87years, at Karina Rest Home on 24 August 2025.

Loving wife of the late Frits Funke, Mother of Carol, Leona, Mark and Rachel.

Mother-in-law to Robert, Richard, Carolyn and Wayne. Oma to Caleb, Sarah, Ben, Tyla, Nathan, Olly, Hayley and Nathan. As great-Oma to Levi, Zoe, Louie, Judah and Amos. A service will be held in Cotton’s Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North on Friday 29th August 2025, at 10:30am. Followed by a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. We wish to acknowledge Karina Lifecare staff for the loving care to Ruth and Dr Skinner for her compassionate care. Ruth’s heart was always for her family and friends, and those who did not know Jesus. She is now at peace with her Lord and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
