Tributes

I met Deborah Joy at the Mana Retreat Centre in 2001 and over the years have witnessed her impressive development. One year in NZ she took me to the beach and introduced me to Kiwi picnics, including crisp sandwiches. She and Gill stayed with me in Oakland before attending Peter Grunwald's EyeBody retreat in Westerbeke Ranch near Sonoma, California. I was also alble to visit her when she lived near Tauranga. After she became a homeopath she helped me deal with vertigo , explaining that my overdeveloped sense of responsibility while caring for my mother made coculus the way to go. It was extremely effective -- and I was so impressed. That was in 2013 and more recently, even after her diagnosis we were able to talk about homeopathy for a friend of mine--and we were able to talk about her impending departure. Just prior to that she had told me that my acknowledgment of how much work she has done on herself, psychologically, and spiritually, meant a lot to her. It means a lot to me to know this kind of work on the self really does happen. Here’s to our next lives, dear Dee-bra.

Deborah was a person that touched the hearts and minds of many. I first met her at homeopathy college, later on we became very close friends. Lernt so many curse words and phrases! She could be a becon of light and also the most ferocious human I have met. She loves just as hard as she swears, but spoke the blunt truth even when I didnt want to hear it. She was an inspiration to many and will continue to do so even in death. Her light has contributed to homeopaths becoming more than they ever thought they could be. I will miss you forever and always went I mutter c$#% I will hear her say I love you.

I didn’t get the opportunity to know Deborah for very long but in the two and a half years I got to see and work with her , I saw and felt her love and bubbly personality in great depth. We had an instant connection from my first day of work at the pharmacy and from then on I knew immediately that she would be one of the most Important people in my life. She was there for many highs and lows and helped me through many tough times when I was struggling. We always joked that she was my work grandma and she gave me the nickname of Martha because even at 20 years old, my bones would click and crack more then hers ever did! to Deborah kids - I never got the pleasure of meeting you guys but Deborah always talked about you with so much love and happiness, I know she loved you dearly and was so proud of you all. I’ll forever miss you work grandma - you were taken away from this life way too soon but at least you can rest and be in peace now ❤️❤️ love you always, Martha ( Jemma)

I was a lecturer at the College that Deborah worked for. I always looked forward to seeing Deborah when I was working. I appreciated her smile, her humour and her efficiency. I was always left with the echo of a good chuckle and a slice of her wisdom that she shared after every interaction with her. Deborah, I wish you nothing but the best for the next stage of your journey :)
