Denis lived a full and simple life - not in and for the world, but in love for his family and friends. A man of few words but he showed his love through his actions. This is not a sad day, but a day to rejoice. Dennis has waited a long time for this day. He is now in the loving arms of his Creator, Father and Saviour. He has departed this world knowing that he is now commencing the beginning of his life. This is not the end but the start of a wild and miraculous adventure. A journey that will take him through amazing wonders that we too will experience if we give our hearts to Christ Jesus. For some, the Bible is thought of as fiction - a story book that surely must eventually lose it's flavour. But it hasn't. It's a history book, a love story, a current affairs journal and an insight to the future. And that future is not far away. So I ask, in loving memory of Dennis, that you open your minds and hearts to Jesus. Learn about Him by talking to those who know Him, read the Bible if only a chapter now and then, and you too may find the peace and joy that Dennis had in our Lord. Denis, we love you and we WILL be together again.

I was blessed to have Uncle Denis in my life. He was such a gentle man and I always felt entirely loved and safe in his presence. I remember great conversations, where even as a scrappy little kid with some pretty hare-brained ideas, he listened and never dismissed me. May he rest in peace now. To Aunty Nina, I am so very sorry that your long union with your beloved husband has come to pass. I imagine it’s a bit like losing a limb, after a lifetime with him in your life. I love you, Keren x
