I have been friends with Sharon for over 50 years, since starting at IRD the year after her. I have many wonderful memories of outings with the Jackson girls, playing basketball (Taxes Tugboats) and trips away. Although I shifted away from NP in 1981, we always caught up when I was in NP visiting family and, and in later years I made a point of diverting to call on her, being made welcome by Amy, Matt and Maree and families. I wish Sharon had had more time to share the memories. RIP dear friend.

I have fond memories of working with Sharon at the IRD. Sharon was always helpful, patient when I asked dumb questions, and good company at social functions and basketball tournaments. She kept us younger crew in line but always with a smile. My condolences to the Dallas and Jackson families.

I had the privilege of meeting Sharon during our chemotherapy treatments, and although we only knew each other for a short time, she certainly left a lasting impression. Her warmth, positivity, and good humour definitely made those times pass more quickly. I also had the pleasure of meeting two of her wonderful children, Amy and Matt, and it was clear to see the beautiful bond Sharon had with her family. It's not always the people you've known the longest who leave the biggest impact - sometimes it's the ones you meet unexpectedly, even for a short time, who touch your life in the most meaningful way. Rest in peace, Sharon❤️

Recalling many happy memories from IRD days. Sharon was always "big sister material" to us younger girls when working with, and playing basketball together - especially when we were away at tournaments. She always looked after us, but at the same time was full of fun and lots of laughs were had. To the Dallas and Jackson families, my deepest sympathy. RIP Sharon. Fran Butler
