Dear Hanneke and family, I wanted to contact Randall and was so deeply upset to hear of his passing last year. My life, our family's lives were enriched by knowing him, by his compassion, humour and huge heart. Please know I am sending my deepest condolences to you all. Please contact me Hanneke, debfiller@gmail.com My warmest wishes for you all to live long and healthy lives in Dear Randall's memory.
Long ago I stayed with Randall and Hanneke in Auckland. I remember him very well as a wonderful, loving person with a great sense of humour. So sad for Hanneke, Kim, Katie, Maddy and Georgia that he is no longer here.
Grateful for the privilege of knowing you Randall. Love to Hanneke and family.
Thank you Randall for your kindness and your insight. Rest in Peace Randall.
Randall was a wonderful colleague and friend. We will miss him greatly and send our sincere condolences to his family. Our thoughts are with the family at this very sad time.
A Very caring brother in law who will be missed.
A wonderfully human practitioner and scientist in full measure. What a teacher. We will so miss him.
We met Randall relatively recently and wish we had had the time to get to know him better. Condolences to the family.
Rest in peace Randall. Thank you for leaving the world a better place.
Another goodman down! May he rest in peace
Sadly missed by the World of ORLHNS and all who knew this great guy. We first met in Liverpool in the early 80’s and remained friends ever since Thoughts and Prayers Pat and Sheena Bradley, Nottingham, UK
From us here in Holland we are truly saddened being unable to be with family to commemorate the passing of Randall, our friend and brother-in-law. From our frequent visits home staying with the family, sharing stories, good wines and times, both laughter and tears. Memories flood back like Randall playing his bagpipes for us in 2000. You have enriched our lives and we are grateful and thank you.
A wonderful person and Dr who was a wonderful support to our group, especially in the early days when the ear nurse group first began. Our sincere condolences to his family
An amazing doctor who was always willing and supportive of the ear nurses. He was instrumental in helping our group set up a national body of over 120 ear nurses known as the ear nurse Specialist Group NZ. Thank you Randall we are forever grateful for your contribution. Sincere condolences to the family
Randall was my senior registrar in the ENT department at Greenlane Hospital immediately after a rotation which was very difficult. A better bloke you would have to go a long way to find. It was only after some time later that I realised how instrumental he was in helping me develop my love of Medicine. Energetic, a careful, thoughtful surgeon and a teller of great yarns. I heard him once convincing an initially unwitting friend at the Auckland Med School that he wanted to donate his body to medical science that day. He eventually got his way and then rang her back after midday to fess up. It was April Fool's day. A wonderful fellow and great friend who even in times of major health issues was still good for a laugh. He is sorely missed.
Randall was very kind, supportive and encouraging to me when we set up the Voice Clinic in Manukau many years ago. Many condolences to his family.
A jovial person who was full of love and energy. I enjoyed your company wherever and whenever we met. God bless and RIP. Ashok Shenoy
