DOUGLAS, John Richard
Passed away peacefully after a short illness with loved ones by his side on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, aged 88 years.
Much loved and devoted partner of John King, for 36 years.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Summerset in the Sun for their care and support.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at Shone and Shirley Funeral Directors, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 2pm. Followed by a private cremation.
John’s ashes will be interred at the Temuka Cemetery at a later date.

Will miss you very much and you were a wonderful uncle to me. You knew your own mind and it was made up. Hope dad was there to get you and you are together watching over us. Rest now. I will look in on John for you. Love you always Jody Pierce
