BROWN, Bettina Rose (Nee Sisson).

Passed away peacefully at Arvida Aria Gardens Care Home on 3rd September 2026, aged 90 years.

Devoted wife of the late Colin (Snug) for 51 years. Special sister-in-law and friend of Moira and Gordon. Treasured Aunty Tina of Janine and Jim, Warwick and Jenni, and Michael and Natalie. Much loved Great Aunt and Great-Great Aunt. Loved cousin of Ann (UK).

Respected teacher and Principal of Kelston Girls High School (retired 1997). Passionate advocate for animal welfare. Recipient of the New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal for services to New Zealand.

Greatly admired for her strength, independence, intelligence and empathy. Forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Bettina's life will be held at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil's, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday 10th September at 10.30am followed by private cremation.
