CLINGAN, Douglas on 6 September 2026.
Passed away peacefully, aged 92 years, surrounded by family at Wellington Hospital.
A proud Scotsman. Served with the British Army RASC (Malaya), and also as a CSM with the NZ Scottish Regiment.
Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret (Peggy) Moore, adored dad of Graeme, Andrew and Diane, loving grandad of Jamie and Daniel, and great grandad of Ella.
Special thanks to the staff of Wellington Free Ambulance and Wellington Hospital for their care of Doug.

A service for Doug will be held at the Cockburn St Chapel, Cnr of Cockburn St and Onepu Rd, Kilbirnie, Wellington on Friday 11 September 2026 at 1.30pm, thereafter private cremation.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember him as a kind man, and my fondest memories are from those childhood days in Tannadyce Street waiting with Diane for him to come home from work in his truck and being given fizzy drinks, which felt like such a treat at the time. My thoughts are with Diane and the family. I hope they take comfort in knowing that he is remembered with real fondness.
