Tributes

Sheree was such a genuine person, and even though I worked with her many years ago at MPI, she was such an example of being honest, deeply caring, and a true example of the blessing of friendship. There wasn't anything that you couldn't ask Sheree and get an honest answer, delivered with thoughtfulness and grace. She was such a blessing to me as I was trying to understand the Christian faith and ultimately heard and believed the Gospel in my twenties. God used her richly in my life - a true example of a 'good and faithful servant'. Mourning the genuine sadness of her loss, particularly for Christian, Nicole and her extended family, while rejoicing in the certainty that she is now joyfully reconciled to her Saviour

Sheree was such a kind person and she really loved life and the people in it. I feel so lucky that she became such an important part of my life. I still remember when we first met at work. Most of the team were away on another project and I was sitting on my own, quite far away from everyone else because of where my desk had been allocated. Sheree noticed and immediately asked me to come and sit next to her for company. That really was Sheree. She noticed people. She had this special way of making you feel seen and cared about, but at the same time she gave you the freedom to just be yourself. I could always be myself with her, and I think that is quite a rare thing. Over the years we became very close. There was a real trust between us, and that meant a lot to me. I also knew that if I asked Sheree what she thought, she would actually tell me. She wasn't someone who would just tell me what I wanted to hear, but she could be honest with me in a way that was still loving. For most of our friendship we didn't even live in the same town, but somehow that never really mattered. We messaged, we talked and we made time to catch up. We shared a lot of laughs over the years and some tears too. She was just part of my everyday life. Sheree knew me well. She remembered the things that mattered to me and the things I liked. She was always encouraging, but it was never just saying something nice for the sake of it. I knew she meant what she said. I always admired how much she loved Nicole and Christian and how important her family was to her. She was so proud of Nicole. I heard about the music, the sport and all the other things Nicole was doing, and you could always hear how proud Sheree was of her. My heart goes out to Nicole, Christian and all of Sheree's family. I know how deeply she loved you. I think one of the hardest things for me now is just not having her there. I still expect to hear from her, and then I remember that I won't. I still struggle to comprehend that I won't hear that familiar “Hello hello!” again. I miss our messages. I miss our laughs. I miss her honesty and her encouragement. I miss having someone who knew me so well and who let me be exactly who I am. Sheree was one of my best friends, and I love her very much. She changed my life in ways I don't think she ever fully realised, and I am so grateful that she came into my life.'

What a shock to hear about Sheree’s passing. Sheree and I were colleagues many years ago at MPI. I remember her as a deeply caring, calm, highly capable, diligent and fun person who really lit up the room. So sad to have her taken so young. My deepest sympathies to. Christian, Nicole and the wider Christian family.

To our dear Christian and Judan family, I am devastated to hear of the passing of our dear Sheree. We share so many memories in our early years as children and teens, especially Church and pathfinder. The best years ever. You were such a beautiful ray of sunshine to your parents, siblings and family and so you are very gifted. I'm sure your beautiful ray of sunshine will inherit that from you :). Love and condolences to all the families, from the Tekeu family xx

I’ve known Sheree since 2009. I am thankful for the privilege ok knowing Sheree. Thank you for the love you generously shared with us (Filipino group in Hastings Church., friendship, kindness and leaving us with the quiet example of your faith. It was often the simple things - the conversations, shared meals, laughter and quiet acts of kindness - that become our greatest treasures. That is how I will remember you Sheree. See you in the blessed morning.

The memory remains vivibly how thoughtful, loving, generous, big sisters figure and God fearing person Sheree is. She fought a good fight, set an example to all of us that no matter what life may bring, Gods plan will always prevail. Jesus said, let us go to our friend Lazarus so we may wake him up from his sleep, and so on that glorious resurrection morning, Sheree’s bright smile will be seen again that will last forever. To kuya Christian and Nicole, may God bless you with the holy spirit to comfort you, streghten you, and you may find peace in this very sad and difficult moment. My sympathy and deepest condolences to the whole family.

Sheree was one of those special people who had a way of making you feel welcomed, valued and at home. Her friendship was a true blessing to us, and we will always be grateful for the kindness and warmth she showed us. When we were in New Zealand, Sheree and Kuya Christian open their home to us. It was more than just a place to stay/hang out. It was a place filled with warmth, laughter, generosity and love. She welcomed us as though we were part of her family, and those memories will always have a special place in our hearts. And of course we can never forget Sheree’s amazing chocolate cake! It was one of those things that made their home even more special. Sheree shared with us not only friendship but also her faith. Through her kindness and genuine heart, she reflected the love of God to those around her. Sheree, thank you for opening your home, your heart and your life to us. Thank you for your friendship, your kindness, your faith, and yes—for the unforgettable chocolate cake. We will remember you with love and gratitude, and we will carry the memories of you in our hearts. May you rest peacefully, knowing how deeply you were loved and how many lives you touched. Until we meet again Sheree. You will never be forgotten.

It is so sad to hear Sheree has passed on. It has been many years since I worked with her, but she was such a bright, bubbly light, so positive and kind, even when things got intense. I remember how excited she was to be marrying Christian, how her face would light up when she spoke of him. I am so sorry for the family's loss, especially Christian, and Nicole.

While our hearts are heavy with loss today, I find comfort in Paul’s assurance that those who died in Christ are simply sleeping until Jesus’ Second Coming, when they will rise again. My heart is broken for Sheree’s family, for you, my brother, and Nicole and to those who love her. Sheree was a caring, loving, and an incredible wife who made Christian so happy. She was an amazing and devoted mom to Nicole, a bright and talented young daughter. Though we were separated by distance between US and New Zealand, I am grateful to know the beautiful and wonderful person she was to our Judan family and others. Her love, generosity, kindness, and unwavering faith in God will never be forgotten. She was a sister-in-law who loved to travel. We traveled together visiting tourists places in the Philippines. Oftentimes, she encouraged and shared life’s memories on Judan’s Chat. She never turned away from someone in need. She made sacrifices for those she loved and made someone’s life better. Sheree and I had shared of our experiences with piano and violin lessons of Nicole and my daughters Hannah, and Debrah. They are all musically talented! She was always so proud of Nicole‘s achievements and activities in school and especially her piano and violin practices and recitals. Christian shared with me one of Sheree’s favorite Bible verses which is 2 Timothy 4:7-8. “ I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” Sheree will be missed but we will meet her again in the Resurrection morning. Let’s be faithful until Jesus comes! Judy Judan-Leach Sister-in- law

Sheree is full of warmth and love. We met Sheree in 2015 when I went stayed with a friend in Napier for holiday. She baked a banana cake and brought it to my friend’s house to see me and my newly born daughter. I have many friends whom I know there for years but it was strangely nice and loving for Sheree to show aroha and kindness to my family whom I met for a short time. We will dearly miss her. Our sincere and deepest condolences. Paul & Diane’e

We met at a Mum´s playgroup when our girls were bubs so this comes as such a shock as I had no idea. I can´t believe I won´t bump into your smiley happy face again. My heart breaks for your darling Nicole and Christian. I know they will be forever surrounded in your love, that you will be Nicole´s cherished guardian angel, always watching over your little girl, her guiding light. I hope time will heal and that their faith and beautiful memories of you will bring them strength. Thinking of all Sheree´s family at this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace & love beautiful lady x. God Bless.

Sheree was so very excited when offered an adviser role in Sonya Bissmire's 's team! I remember she was a little reticent about telling me at first, but I could see how excited she was about the opportunity. It was just wonderful to see how thrilled she was when she was appointed to the role. She brought the same care and commitment to that work that she brought to everything she did. She was incredibly diligent, took real pride in her work, and was a real credit to the team.

I got to know Sheree during my three years in NZ where we wroked together - I still recall the very first time I met her and I was just struck straight away with how warm and welcoming she was and also how she immediately had time to listen to me. She was such a warm, caring and loving person and I’ll always remember how she used to be able to laugh in pretty much any situation; she just always stayed positive no matter what and her positivity was infectious. I can say genuinely and wholeheartedly that Sheree was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and whilst I’d not seen her in many years, I know I will miss her greatly.
