I had the privilege of working alongside Sarojini across work for both the Ministry of Health and Health NZ, and I saw first-hand the significant contribution she made through her dedication, expertise, and professionalism. She was a highly respected and trusted colleague whose knowledge, commitment, and willingness to support others made a lasting impact on those around her and on the work we delivered. Sarojini was greatly liked by her colleagues and brought warmth, humility, and good humour to the workplace. It was a privilege to know and work with Sarojini. My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, and loved ones.
To the Joseph’s family, Saro was a wonderful colleague and friend during my time at MOH. We shared not only working relationship but also a love of food. She would often bring us together to try different restaurants and dishes, creating many happy memories along the way. One of my fondest memories is enjoying a massive Rendang Burger with her during the WOAP (Wellington on a plate) festival at Chapman Taylor. It was moment like these that made spending time with Saro so special. Saro was also steadfast in her faith. Even after I left MOH, she would continue to message me whenever she had devotional booklet to pass on to me. It was a simple but meaningful gesture that reflected her caring and thoughtful nature. Goodbye, our dear friend Saro. Thank you for the memories, friendship, and kindness you shared with us. May you rest in peace with our loving God in heaven. With deepest sympathy to all the family. Linda

Our deepest sympathy for the family and RIP aman.
Dear Justin and Prathusha, Kula and Anne, Shanti and the rest of the Joseph family, We were deeply saddened to hear about the untimely passing of our dear sister-in-Christ, Saro. Even though life’s paths led us to different churches, we always cherished the times we shared praising God and fellowshipping together at ALC for 19 years. We will always remember and appreciate her warmth and friendliness towards us and her fellow Christians. She had a wonderful way of encouraging others, always with a lovely smile and a kind word. Her unwavering faith, kindness, faithful service and zealous love for the Lord were truly admirable. She was indeed a blessing to those around her, and we feel privileged to have known her and shared in those precious times of fellowship and worship together in the same congregation. We take comfort in knowing that she is now safely in the arms of our Savior, resting in His eternal peace. May God wrap His loving arms around you and grant you the strength, comfort, and hope that only He can provide during this earthly separation. May His perfect peace sustain you and your family in the days ahead. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Chee-Kai and Peck-Choo Chan 2 Sep 2026
It is still hard to believe that beautiful Saro is no longer with us. We remember her warmth, selflessness and love toward our family. And she could always make us laugh. Every time we spent time together, her unwavering grace and humility echoed in every conversation. It was so evident to anybody that her life was well lived reflecting the image of her God. And now, she gets to spend the rest of eternity with the God that she served everyday of her life. Give Jesus an extra hug for us. Till we meet you again, Saro 🤍🕊️
Saro, I can’t believe you’re gone. Although I knew you 30 years ago, I still remember your infectious laugh and your lovely, warm personality. Thinking of you and sending love, strength and deepest condolences to Joe, Prathu, Sheehan, Suki and all their family. You will be missed and remembered with so much fondness. Rest in peace my dear girl. ❤️
I am so sad to hear of Saro's passing. Deepest sympathy to all of Saro's family and friends, and the ALC family. Saro was a faithful prayer warrior and servant of the Lord. She was passionate, caring, encouraging and a great example to many. She is now at home with the Lord, receiving her reward.
May the Compassionate Lord grant Eternal Peace to dear Saro. A Family tie & friendship initiated by an adorable paternal friendship lasted for years until interrupted by demise. May the departed souls from both families rest in Eternal Peace 🙏🙏.
Rest in Peace my little sister Saro.
Saro was only 6 months old when her family moved next door to me in Jaffna, Sri Lanka 60 years ago I simply can't believe she is gone now. I have carried her when she was a baby , played with her and taken her on bike rides. She was very close to my mother and attended my mother's montessori.. She always stayed back with us after school and was dropped only late in the evening. She was a little sister to me and her family is part of my family. I last saw Saro in 1980 when she was 15 years old.. It is a pity I couldn't see her growing up to be a young woman and becoming an adult due to my employment overseas. Saro will always be my little sister . I have attached a photo of Saro when she was 12 years old and that's how I will remember her. The comforting thought is that she is safe in the arms of Jesus now. God only takes the best for himself. Rest in peace my sweet little sister till we meet again. Heartfelt condolences to Shanthi Acca, Rajanathan, Jayanthy, Mohan, & Kula on your sad loss.
Deepest sympathy to our dear aunty Rest in Peace 🕊️
Saro, we were classmates and studied together for seven wonderful years. You were not only my classmate but also one of my dearest and best friend. Last year, I wished you a happy 60th birthday. I never imagined that this year, just one week before your birthday, I would have to say goodbye to you. Your sudden passing is still so hard to believe. I will always treasure our friendship and the beautiful memories we shared. Happy Birthday in Heaven, my dear Saro. You will always be remembered and forever missed. Rest in peace
Saro, we still can’t believe you’re gone. You weren’t just a friend- you were family. We will always remember your laughter, your sense of humour, your kindness, your passion for God and zeal for life. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May you rest in peace in God’s care. Our heartfelt condolences to all Saro’s family. May The Lord strengthen and comfort you all through this unbearable grief.
I had the pleasure of working with Sarojini at the Ministry of Health and Health NZ. She was always such a willing and helpful colleague, and I appreciated her ability to help whenever I asked. I was lucky to have met Sarojini. Her warm, kind nature is something I will always remember. Much love to her family for the loss of such a lovely lady.
Heartfelt condolences, May her dole rest in peace
A friend’s death is a great sorrow for all who loved her… We were friends since grade 6 and even after we went apart for years, we still kept in touch. I will continue to remember the moments we have shared. In the book of my life, you were one of my favourite characters and you were very cheerful all the time. We’re going to miss you among us, and your absence will be felt greatly. Yet the laughter shared and the secrets whispered will be cherished forever! My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with Saro’s family. My dear friend, may your soul rest In peace! ❤️
Sarojini was a highly valued member of our team at Health NZ and made an enormous contribution through her work. She was widely respected for her professionalism, knowledge, and commitment, and was always willing to support those around her. But much more importantly, beyond her contributions to Health NZ, Sarojini was a genuinely kind, warm, and positive person. She was greatly liked by her colleagues and brought a sense of care, humility, joy and good humour to the workplace. It was a privilege to have her as part of our team, and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and worked with her. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Sarojini's family, friends, and loved ones at this very difficult time.
