To the Swney Family. Our thoughts are with you all on this sad day. Thank you for letting us join a very beautiful service for a very beautiful and warm human being. We will always have fond memories of our time spent with you both. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your lives and home during my time spent with you, all those years ago. my deepest sympathies to the Swney family on the sad loss of Trish. Although I wasn’t very old at the time and was a long way from home, you welcomed me into your family and made me feel completely at home. I have such fond memories of the time I spent with you all while I was working in New Zealand all those years ago. The advice, help and kindness you gave me have stayed with me over the years, and I will always be grateful for the way you looked after me. Although I never made it back to New Zealand, I often still think about you all and remember those happy times with great fondness. It was wonderful that, when you and Kevin visited Ireland almost 20 years ago, we were able to meet up again and share some of those memories. In fact, when we recently moved house, we came across the little Buzzy Bee toy you brought all the way from New Zealand to Ireland for my daughter Hannah. It brought back so many lovely memories and was a lovely reminder of the kindness and thoughtfulness you always showed me. Trish will always hold a special place in my heart, and I feel very fortunate to have known her.
