Dearly loved daughter of Keith and Maureen Smithson. Loved sister and sister-in-law of David and Janette, Jeremy and Sheona, Daniel and Kylie, Ben, Mary and Thomas and Peter and Lucy.

Beloved Mother of Paige and her partner Nicholas, Luke, Ethan and his wife Bailey, Justin and his partner Lesh and the one and only Danni-Lee. Superstar Nana (JoJo) to her beautiful grandchildren - Mason, Mackenzie, River, Kohen, Bodhi, Adaline and Mila. Honorary Mum to Hannah and her babies, Lucas and Quinn. Dog mum to princess Lilli.

A service to celebrate Joannas life will be held at Our Lady of Kapiti church, 1 Presentation Way, Paraparaumu, on Monday 13 July 2026 at 11:30am, followed by a burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery
