HAROLD, Anne Carolyn

Farewell my children, my life is past,
I dearly loved you until the last.
Weep not for me, no sorrow takes,
But please love each other for my sake.

A courageous woman who loved deeply, Anne passed away peacefully, surrounded by love at home, on Tuesday 7 July 2026, in her 82nd year.

Dearly loved and cherished wife and sparring partner of John.

Cherished Mum and mother-in-law of Paul and Kath, Carmel, Nicola and Brett, and Aaron and Cheche. Loved step mum of Brett and Ange, Troy and Sara, and Lane and Gosia.

Much-loved Gran and Great-Gran to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Messages to the Harold family may be left here.

A service to celebrate Anne's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth, on Tuesday 14 July 2026 at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

In preference to flowers please consider a donation to Taranaki Hospice.

For those unable to attend, Anne's service will be livestreamed here.

Anne was a wonderful friend, an animal lover and protector, always immaculately dressed, always organised; our lives are richer for having been a part of Anne and John's life for a time. Thank you Anne for being the amazing lady that you were. You will leave a gaping hole. We hope some of the many happy memories of Anne will help with that in time.

Lots of happy memories working with Anne in Stratford Telephone Exchange. One Friday night we had a competition to see who could eat a 1 litre family pack of ice cream and Anne won. Anne, you were a support to me when we climbed Mt Egmont together. Heaps of fun at dances and the many times you visited us in Waimāna BOP. Rest in Peace Anne. Love Elaine and family. Remembering the good times we shared, lots of holidays, you were a great cook and like another big sister to me. To Paul, Carmel, Nicola and Aaron, you are always in my thoughts. Sorry I am unable to attend Anne’s service. Marian and all the family
