Dear Brenda I am so sorry to hear that Clint is gone. He was a lovely man and such a great friend to Don. Dad so valued time relaxing with friends and colleagues on Friday nights, and has really missed that in the last couple of years. While only occasional add-ons Brigid and I were privileged to spend time with you and Clint and we remember you both with fondness. With kind regards Chris Adams and Brigid Preston
Dear Brenda and Family, Kevin and I were very sad to hear of Clint’s death I know he was your best friend in so many ways over the years. You all are in our thoughts but I know with the help from your lovely family you will be well supported. Xx Kevin and Julie
I will always fondly remember the social gatherings with Clint. Such superb company and unafraid of different foods. He leaves a proud and valuable legacy for New Zealand of cancer research and screening programmes. He will be greatly missed. Our love and strength to Brenda and the family in this sad time. Revathi Balakrishnan & family.
When we moved into Anne Street, we were lucky enough to have Clint and Brenda as neighbors. Clint was a great neighbor. Right from the start, Clinton and Brenda were always open and welcoming to us and our children. Our kids spent time in their household, especially when their grandkids were visiting, and the invitation to pop over was often extended. They truly made my family feel connected to those around us. Clinton was a lovely gentleman, always open to a chat at the bottom of the driveway about how we were getting on, world affairs, sports, fishing, or just whatever was going on in the world. Beyond the chats, I felt there was a quiet competition between us to see who could retrieve our respective recycling or rubbish bins from the bottom of our drives and return them to each other's properties. It wasn’t just a competition, but more of a neighborly courtesy and act of kindness. Clinton—with his years of experience, quick step, and determination—more often than not would beat me to the punch. Sometimes he’d do it under the cover of darkness or in a belting northerly; I don’t even know how he managed it, but he did. There was great sadness in my home when the news of Clinton’s passing landed. In my experience, he was the gold standard of a neighbor and great human. He will be missed and always remembered in our household. Our thoughts are with Brenda and the whole family
Great memories from “the good old days” at Medlab Wellington. Dr Teague was always very kind and caring. Chats about fishing of course in the tearoom make me smile.. We are on holiday at present so unable to make the service unfortunately.. our thoughts are with the families.. Anna
Clint, I am forever grateful for you offering me the job in NZ almost 36 years ago and the wonderful trajectory my life and that of my family, have taken because of that! You picked Shamla and me up from the airport that first day we arrived in NZ and took us to your place for dinner with your family. We knew no one here in NZ and had lived our lives in a South Africa that was very segregated due to apartheid at that time. Your kindness symbolised so much to us. I will miss you very dearly, rest well.
What a lovely photo, that’s just how I remember you Clint, except your hair and beard were darker. I hope you have had a lovely retirement, I hope you have spent lots of time with your Granchildren and I hope you achieved all the fishing adventures you dreamed of. Fond memories of my time working with you at Medlab Wellington, go well my friend Arohanui.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart clint for the opportunity to work for you for 10 wonderful years. Being new to the medical arena you kindly provided me with the tools knowledge and expertise to do the job. Everything I learned from you I carry to this day. You were patient, kind, generous always. Rest in peace you dear man. Our sincere condolences to Brenda tracey brooke and marinka and families. Anne
So sorry to hear of Clint’s passing. We will miss his smile, the conversations and the fishy stories. He always showed an interest in our overseas fishing experiences, which was greatly appreciated. Warren appreciated the offer of gear for salt water fishing trips and Clints generosity when two of those rods got broken. Sending love and prayers to Brenda and family.
Dr Teague, I will always remember your kindness when I had my son, we still have the green teddy bear you gifted him. I knew you through my mum, who I know will make her own tribute, but I certainly remember you as a lovely, warm and fiercely intelligent man. Rest in peace, and love to you and your family x
Clint, thank you for your knowledge, wisdom and teaching. 83 is a very good innings. Enjoy the new fishing opportunities coming up. With much respect and fondness. Chris Pease
