Tributes

Aqua, you were a student at Kaiwaka, and Mrs S and I remember you fondly. You shone, and it has been lovely to follow you through social media. When we talk of you, we smile - that was what you have left us with. We cherish the memories. Arohanui, Mr S

It would be around 20 years since we flatted together in Wellington, I still remember you fondly, you had such a warm nature and were so much fun to be around. It was wonderful to listen to the tributes given today, and very sad at the same time. You certainly made your mark and you will be sorely missed by many. Fly high my friend.

Aqua you are one of the most kind and caring people I've ever met. I'm lucky I had the privilege to know you. Everyone will miss you so very very much. XXXXXX

Beautiful Aqua. I met you when you were massaging nearly 20 years ago. I was one of your number one fans. You were always kind and generous with your time and after you stopped massaging we would see each other around Wellington all the time walking around the waterfront and at different locations. You always had time to stop and chat and I always felt your caring presence. It was the absolute pleasure and privilege to do your wedding makeup, and to spend that special day with you. Seeing you in the photos brings joy, even as it brings deep sadness for Marko, Mia, and all of you whānau who will miss you so deeply. Go gently now darling Aqua. I hope to see you amongst the brightest stars and feel your spirit in the wind. Arohanui, Sandey

Aqua, you were warmth, light, strength, and love. I am so grateful I had the chance to know you, work with you, and walk beside you in this life, even briefly. Your beautiful spirit will stay with me always. Tania

Aqua, I meet you as a young student and we clicked with our quirky, zany natures some 20 years ago. I had the privilege of watching you mature into a accomplished young women, thought leader, champion of all, with a sensitivity for others that was rare. I was lucky enough to count you as one of my friends and albeit in recent years we connected less frequently but watched each others lives via online platforms. I simply thought we would have more time to hang out. I will miss you and send all my love to your whanau xxx

You had an incredible gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and capable. Working alongside you was a privilege, and I'm so thankful for everything you taught me. You believed in me when I didn't believe in myself, and your kindness and encouragement made a real impact. I'll carry your lessons and your compassion with me always.

Aqua, I got to thank you only last week, for nearly three years of friendship, for always making things happen, and for being someone I could count on. You were my biggest cheerleader. You backed me when it mattered, and it made a real difference. You met such adversity with so much strength, dignity, and grace - a kind of courage most people never have to find. Sending love to Mark, Sharon, Mia, and all those missing your face. ❤️

You made a difference to me. There was something so special about your openness, your vulnerability, your kindness. I'm sure you left this impression on everyone you met. You brought so much joy. I hope you got it back in spades.
