RITCHIE, Elva (Mafi)

Elva was a beautiful, humble, softly spoken yet immensely loving woman.

72 years old of Samoan, Irish descent, she lived with a strong love and passion for her culture and was a true community-driven person who gave time and love to anyone within her vicinity due to her strong faith and love of God.

Survived by her three children, Daryl, Alice, and Logan, she leaves a light that is lit that will continue to shine out from all their hearts.

Her family would like to give a huge heartfelt thank you for all the support and truly loving words that have been given in this incredibly difficult time.

They’d like to give a special thanks to the bystanders who rushed in without hesitation to aid her in her time of need. It warms their hearts to know her last moments were not alone and amongst a loving, caring community. Thanks you for your prayers.

A service for Elva is to be held at Orewa Community Church on Thursday 25th June 2026 at 12pm, followed by a private burial at Auckland Memorial Park.
