HOHAIA, Temanawa Rupe Henry:
Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital, Surrounded by whanau on Sunday, 21 June 2026, aged 78.
A lover of his guitar and blues music, with friends all over the country having driven most of New Zealand’s roads.
Henry will be happily reunited with his passed parents and whanau.
Cherished father of Mike, and Sarah. Loved Koko of Tayler. An extremely well loved brother, uncle, cousin, friend & workmate to many.

Henry’s life will be celebrated at Orimupiko Marae, Opunake from the evening of Monday 22 June 2026, with a service on Tuesday 23 June at 11am. All welcome.

I worked with Henry originally at Anglo Pacific in Petone (about 35 years ago) and he was one of our small crew. We moved to NZVL together. He was a good man and held a special place in my heart. Rip Henry. Love to his family who he was very proud of. Joanna Finn
