Farewelling another cousin in such a short time. Gratitude for the life that you lived and the memories my mother Mavis Pokia new Coutts has of you. Grateful your final battle is over and you now go to join your darling wife, parents, brothers and sister in your eternal home.

Another Coutts lad gone, but to never be forgotten. Les left a last impression on many folk, during his wanders around wellington and beyond Many special memories of Les, growing up in karori, with visits to Nanas house, Christmas gatherings at ours, to chance encounters around the city when grown up. I always remember him being on some sort of a mission !! (his walks) Every Anzac day, there was Les, and quite often popping up in newspapers or on the telly, never faulting & always paying tribute to service men and women of days past. I trust you will be having a catch up with your mum and dad, brothers & sister wherever you may be Always rememberd, never forgotten Photo of our son John, current serving RNZALR, showing Les his dog tags and swapping stories

Another Coutts gone 6 months after the last one (my Dad Richard). Growing up, I'd often see Uncle Les at my Nanas house, or sometimes in book shops when I was with my dad, or sometimes in Wellington with uncles Bill & Graeme. A few years ago by chance I saw him on the train and we chatted the whole way. I'm so glad I saw him about 3 weekends ago with Savannah (my daughter). We all had a great chat and a long hug afterwards. We will miss seeing you around Uncle Les! RIP. Cattle die, kinsmen die, all men are mortal. Words of praise will never perish, nor a noble name.. Another 'Coutts brother' has carried on in their journey. Much love and respect. We must also acknowledge Graeme and Sotia et all, have done for Uncle Les while he was battling cancer.

In Loving Memory of Les, my RSA and Kilbirnie/Lyall Bay Community Centre friend. Back in the day, Les and my family were part of the now closed Kilbirnie RSA. We would still meet up in the Community and at RSA functions. With Peace and Love to the Coutts Family at this time, especially Graeme.

What a privilege to have known you Uncle Les. We will remember you for your warmth, resilience, grit, dry wit and the big bear hugs. And we will keep trying to find you in the Lord of the Rings. Moe mai rā e te rangatira. You’ve earned your rest xo
