Ross, I will be forever grateful for your love of fixing things. You took on the project of fixing our house in Sunnyside Rd. It was not for the faint of heart. Together you and Simon turned a sow’s ear into a silk purse. But along the way you showed me and my girls, how real gentlemen should behave and act. We will be forever grateful to you for creating a safe home for us to live in, and showing us the character traits we needed to look for in our forever partners. We are so, so grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for caring for the widows and orphans. Jacqui, Ariarna and Natalee

I remember back in the day, a request was made for family favourite recipes for kids fundraising cookbook. Ross submitted, "How to make a jam sandwiche!" Heartfelt loves and strength today Wenz, and especially to Terin, Brianna and Simon - with warmest loves to the grandchildren.

Uncle Ross, or Ross Boss as I liked to call you from time to time, It’s not easy to find the words at times like this, especially when you’ve been taken from us all so soon, but I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being the best dad to my cousins, the best papa to their babies, a brother who always showed up, and an uncle to me. I loved your stories, especially the one about hitchhiking in the Cotswolds. Despite hearing it many times, I never got tired of it and always loved how happy the retelling made you. You never batted an eye when I spent weeks on end at Hotel Mayne Place and completely made myself at home. That probably explains why your always well-stocked snack drawer never seemed to stay well-stocked for very long. If you ever wondered where all the biscuits and crisps went, it was never too hard to work out who was responsible, but somehow it never seemed to stop you restocking it. You were an absolute trooper right up until the end, always fighting for one more day with the people you loved most. You'll always be the best example of someone who showed up for those you cared about. Thank you for being the best example of loyalty, care and most importantly, unconditional love. Give Grandma a hug from us. All my love, Corky

- Thinking about your nearest and dearest Ross, knowing their shared love for you and tender affection for each other will comfort and fortify them as they navigate the big hole you've left behind. Much love to you all from the Foote family.

THE WOLF HOWLS An ordinary day As normal days go; It is not of course, It is anything but. The heavy clouds Hang the sky low And it is quiet, Eerily so, Like a hollow sound, Like the echo of a tear, Like a pebble In an ocean of loss. The silence Is hammered Through a Cracked heart. For a moment All the moments linger, Squeezed by time Through our fingers. A thin shadow falls Where we walk, The wolf howls, No ordinary cry Mark Raffills

Ross, I am sitting here reliving memories from way back and so thankful for them. One that came to mind and gave me a giggle was when we had a church family night playing indoor cricket. Somehow I got paired up with you and let's just say I had to run a hang of a lot faster than you did, your one stride to my four! After the game you made a comment about me having to run twice as fast and oh sorry about that! I did think it would have been helpful if you had thought about it during the game, but at least you did think about it 🤣🤣. You were a huge part of our lives back then and I am sorry we lost contact when we moved. I will be forever grateful for memories because they live on and I have some good ones of our time spent with you at Snells Beach all those years ago. Thanks for your friendship. Terin, Simon and Brijana I am so very sorry for your loss. Your father was a good man. ♥️ Jo

Ross you married us, you were our pastor and you were a friend we just lost touch with. We’ve thought about you over the years, meant to reach out, life got busy, we didn’t, and I’m sorry for that. We were laughing today when Marnie reminded me that between our wedding and the vegetarian reception you went home for a ham sandwich…because a meal needs meat! You had a heart for Jesus, family and people. Bless you Ross

Rosco P Coltrane. I can't believe you're gone. Gonna miss your warped sence of humour and your friendship. Even when I hadn't seen you for yrs, you would smile and say hi like it was just yesterday we last talked.

See you soon my friend. I know is been a while since we spent time together but I'm grateful for the years we spent together while we were at the beach. You have left you mark and your faithfulness is a light shining bright. Well done faithful son, father, grandfather and friend.
