Mother and mother-in-law of Simon & Alison, Gavin & Leanne.
Sister and sister-in-law of the late Glenice & Ken, Alan & Suzanne and Ian & the late Genevieve.
Grandmother of Aiden, Connor, Ellie and Jaxon.
Aunt of the late Graham, Bruce, Neil, Louise, Leah, Gina, Aaron, Melissa and Hamish.
A service for Margaret will be held at the Guardian Funeral Home Chapel, 4 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville, Wellington on Thursday 11th June 2026 at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation.

Tena koutou to Mick and all of Margaret's extended family. I send my love to you all. It is a sad time, not only at the present moment, but also during the recent past, with you supporting Margaret while she was unwell. I only wish that I could have spent more time with my lovely cousin (the closet to my age), but during childhood, distance meant we had few times together. And then, as adults, the few times together were fleetingly; but never-the-less so special. Margaret, you were in our thoughts although we did not always say so. Another wee leaf has fallen from our Smith tree. So, go to meet up with your Mum, Peggy, and those others who have gone on before. Arohanui, from your cousin Doreen xxxx
